This project was executed over the course of seven days in Lock Haven, PA. This project was part of a larger initiative, by the Lock Haven City Council and Dripped On Productions, to bring three muralists to engage with the community and surroundings during a public art residency. Some of the extra curricular work during residency included: engaging the local elementary school (teaching them how to paint large scale artworks), an art gallery pop up in the local gallery (featuring artwork from the artists as well as highlighting common tools used in the process), and a mural tour and Q&A with the local community, and more. Prior to beginning the work on the wall, the beginning of the residency involved wilderness camping to further develop an understanding and empathy for the surrounding natural beauty of this area of the United States. All of these activities were critical to achieving the final mural painting, which hid many easter eggs of local acknowledgement and spirit while ultimately paying homage to the natural beauty of the Allegheny Front.
